Items have a variety of uses and appearances. Some may be used for attacking, distract or neutralize enemies, set traps, make the player stronger, give special skills, but some may not have inmediate use. Some objects can be used as ingredients and combined to make stronger tools.

Tools and Weapons Edit

Weapons are items used for damaging or weakening enemies and setting traps. While some can be easily handled, others (like land mines and bombs) may backfire if the player isn't careful.

Tools on the other hand have a more utility function, that is to facilitate exploration or distract enemies.

Grapple Hook 700 Mon. (1) Used to reach high places or pull items to oneself. Longer than the basic hook. Can be bought or dropped by ninja enemies. The chain is twice longer than the basic version.
Long Grapple Hook 2800 Mon. (1) Used to reach high places or pull items to oneself. Longest reach of all hooks. Can be bought or dropped by ninja enemies. A very easy to use item that helps in getting to higher places. The chain is much longer than the basic version.
Wind-up Chick 300 Mon. (1) Can be thrown as distraction, its loud chirps will attract anyone in the vicinity. Perfect for ambushing targets. A wind-up toy that charms everyone who sees it into picking it up.

Unlike its normal version, this chick has a timed bomb and will explode once the timer runs out or someone picks it. Useful for causing damage to unaware targets, but not as effective or stealthy as its other counterparts. A wind-up toy that explodes when picked up. Some even have timers.
Remote Wind-up Chick 600 Mon. (1) Can be thrown and remote controlled for a short period of time. Enemies will chase it as it moves. Excellent for dispersing enemies and clearing paths without arousing suspicion. A remote controlled wind-up toy that is useful in recoinnassance.

Remote Wind-up Lizard 600 Mon. (1) A remote controlled wind-up toy that is useful in recoinnassance.

Salmon 1000 Mon. (1) Can be thrown as distraction, as is the only item guaranteed to attract bears. Can also be sold for 700 Mon and crafted with alchemy. A bear's favourite food.

Medicines and Poisons Edit

Medicines are items that cure ailments and HP or temporarily buff stats. Some special medicines permanently increase the HP and attack power of playable characters.

Poisons and bombs instead cause ailments, weaken or damage. They usually come as projectiles or poisoned food, but some "medicine" bottles can contain poisons.

Alchemy IngredientsEdit

Ingredients are items used in Alchemy to craft medicines, poisons, magic scrolls, weapons and tools. Ingredients have very little use by themselves but if baked can be a somewhat-effective bait.

Ingredients are very, very common and found during missions, dropped by weak enemies or bought from the shop. Containers are bought from the shop, while special ingredients (ex: Evenweed) can be bought of crafted themselves.

Star-shaped Herb Found during missions

Increases a positive compound by a high number and a negative compound by a low number. Color is random. If baked, increases a positive compound by a low number, and changes color order. Despite its appearance, can't be used as shuriken.

Caltrop Plant Found during missions

Increases three positive compounds and two negative compounds by low numbers. All colors match except for an odd one. If baked, increases only one compound by a low number (negative or positive) and changes color order. Despite its appearance, can't be used as caltrops.

ScrollsEdit

Scrolls come in two variants: Ninja scrolls that temporarily grant a special skill to the player, and common scrolls whose only use is to be sold or given as gifts to the warlords.

Common scrolls are dropped by enemies and found on missions, while ninja scrolls are either dropped by Yojimbo or enemy ninja, found on missions or crafted with Alchemy.

Cicada Shell 5400 (1) Can't be used manually, instead it's automatically used if equipped in the player's inventory. Restores HP completely after it hits 0. A ninja art that automatically replenishes your health completely once it has been fully depleted.
Invisible Shadow N/A Grants temporal invisibility. Allows to execute one stealth kill, but dissipates as soon as the player does so. A ninja art that gives you the ability to hide yourself in a cloud of fog.
Limitless Weapons N/A Allows the player to temporarily use weapons and items equipped in inventory without spending any number of them. This ninja art grants the use of an infinite number of items through wisdom and courage.
Master's Understanding N/A Allows to execute stealth kills at any moment. Can only be found randomly dropped by enemies or spawned in a level. A book that contains all of the secrets of stealth kills.

Key Items have no use in gameplay and can't be interacted with, but either have story importance or simply occupy space in the inventory.
